Take a Dip

Heritage Harbor Ottawa opened its members only pool earlier this summer. The private membership fee not only grants you the privilege of using the resort community's latest amenity, you can enjoy a swim while enjoying an amazing view like no other. Private membership means less crowds and a cleaner facility.

The pool is located directly above the harbor and has a private shower and changing area.
Food delivery service is available from Crawdad's during the restaurant's usually hours of operation.

Family memberships are still available for the 2010 season. Come enjoy the remaining warm days of summer at Heritage Harbor Marina.

Walt Willey

What does it say about a community that becomes such an important part of who you are that when you make it “Big” you always find a reason to come back?

Ottawa native Walt Willey made a return appearance to Ottawa’s Riverfest Celebration July 23-25, staring in a production of Arsenic and Old Lace at the Ottawa High School Auditorium.

Community Theater is one of Walt’s passions and having one in his home town is a project that Walt has been working on for some time now.

Although Walt is best known for playing Jackson Montgomery on the soap opera All My Children, a role he originated in 1987. There are many different aspects to the Ottawa native. His stand up comedy routine is very different from the character he plays on the daytime drama, has been performed locally, and hopefully will be again sometime soon.

Additionally Walt is very involved with both local and national charity organizations and has created the WilleyWorld Endowment Fund which gifts children’s charities and services.

During the 2010 Riverfest performance of Arsenic and Old Lace the Ottawa Native has chosen to Call Heritage Harbor Ottawa his home away from home.

With the picturesque view of the water, the adventures available just outside the door, and the beautiful homes, who wouldn’t want to call Heritage Harbor Ottawa your own home port?

Coming home to Starved Rock Country is always something to look forward to.

Cruise Night in Old Town Ottawa

Old Town of Downtown Ottawa was a car enthusiasts dream Friday Night. With over 5 city blocks of great cars & trucks, there was something for everyone.

This family friendly event had a mix of styles and eras. There was everything from a classic Ford Model T to a 2010 Chevy Camaro with a slick custom paint job. There was music, food vendors, and many owners that were happy to share a story or two about what made their car unique.

The LaSalle County Cruiser's Annual Cruise night in Downtown Ottawa was a great way to kick off Father's day weekend.

If you missed Ottawa's cruise night or just love classic cars venture to downtown Oglesby Saturday June 26th from 3-8pm for the Oglesby Custom Car Show.
